Spiked Cherry Limeade

Monday blues?

Me too! I made it through a tough weekend and am spending all of today relaxing! It’s also a rainy day here in Denver so what better way to spend it than cozy on the couch with Winston watching Netflix. This time of year always gets me excited for back to school! Does anyone else miss that? Planning a new outfit for the first day, getting all new school supplies and the excitement to see your friends! I miss that so much!

One of my favorite memories from being in school is carpooling with girls that lived in my neighborhood! After school the moms would always take us to get a snack, JD’s Chippery in particular. They have by far THE best cookies in the entire world! My best friends Mallory is a cookie fanatic and when we recently took a trip to Dallas she about died and went to heaven when she took her first bite of a JD’s cookie. Along with a milk chocolate chip and M&M cookie, I always got a cherry limeade! They served it over crushed ice and it was freshly made! Ugh, I am salivating right now writing this! In the spirit I thought the perfect cocktail recipe to share this week would be the adult version, a spiked cherry limeade! The perfect summer cocktail!

  • 1 can frozen limeade concentrate (thaw before using)
  • 3.5 cups water
  • ½ cup of syrup from a jar of red maraschino cherries
  • Vodka (amount is up to you!)
  • 2 cups sparkling water

  • 1 lime, cut into wedges
  • Margarita salt
  • Maraschino cherries

Rim the glasses using lime wedges and salt, if desired.

In a pitcher or punch bowl, stir together the limeade concentrate, 3.5 cups of water, liquid from cherries and desired amount of vodka.

Fill each glass about ¾ full with the limeade mixture. Then, add sparking water to fill.
Garnish with lime slices and cherries. Voila! Enjoy while sipping poolside. Or wherever. Cheers.
