Is there anything better than refreshing your home?
This post is in partnership with Bed Bath & Beyond, a brand I love. All opinions here are my own.
Jeremy and I have lived in the same rental for almost three years now. We are so looking forward to finally buying our own home after we are married in the fall! I absolutely love the rental we are in though. It’s a three story modern town home with the most incredible natural light from floor to ceiling windows. And to top it off, the location can’t be beat. However, I can’t wait to find a place of our own, possibly a house-flip project, and be able to completely do whatever we want to our space (the one downside to being in a rental). In the meantime, I am always trying to make our current space as cozy and to our aesthetic as possible.
Spring is all about cleaning out spaces, reorganizing before we head into relaxing all summer long and what better way to do this than with a spring home refresh! I am always looking for new pieces to incorporate into our home, don’t even get me started on how badly I want to redo our bedroom. But, knowing we will only be in this space less than eight more months there is only so much to change. So, to give our home a little “spring refresh” I teamed up with Bed Bath & Beyond to add a few new accessories to our living to brighten things up! Bed Bath & Beyond ?mcid=PR_Post_Blog_theeveryhostess is not only a great destination for basic houseware, but also for furniture, home décor!
I chose a few mixed throw pillows in a grey, gold and blue toned to go with our grey couch. Confession, Jeremy and I’s biggest fight has been over throw pillows… men just don’t understand the importance of them! But luckily he loved the mix of colors in these ones which tied in our space. That being said, this is another thing I try to focus on, tying in our aesthetics. Jeremy prefers clean lines and very modern spaces and I tend to lean towards lots of gold, modern textures and as much faux fur as possible! I love that these pillows tie in both of our styles.
As you all know we are getting married this September! On our console table behind the couch I swap out my least favorite frames for these adorable modern gold ones and put my two favorite photos from our engagement session in them. A simple candle (that smells incredible!) set next to the frames gives the area a clean and simple look.
Lastly, as The Every Hostess, there are constantly people at our house (I kid you not), so I am constantly putting out delicious cheese and meat plates along with wine for our guests! It’s a Sunday night tradition! I love this marble cheese board?mcid=PR_Post_Blog_theeveryhostess from Bed Bath & Beyond, it ties in perfectly with the colors of the room! Along with the cheese board I picked out this gorgeous wooden bowl?mcid=PR_Post_Blog_theeveryhostess to serve crackers, fruits and so much more in!
