A Summer Picnic

My favorite summer activity.

There is something romantic and cozy about having a picnic in the park during the summer time. One can only dream it would take place in Paris, France under the Eiffel Tower (and lucky you if it has!), but the park is just as good! I love gathering a spread of food, usually consisting of meat, cheese and accoutrements of summer flavors. And naturally of course a bottle of wine! I have been loving Carmel Road’s Barrymore Pinot Grigio this summer. It is perfect for warm weather days! The light flavor pairs great with a summer meat and cheese spread and is so refreshing on your pallet. Sometimes Jeremy can get antsy when I make him sit in the park with me just to enjoy this spread, so I always bring along a game to play. Whether it is cards or bocce ball, having a game to play is the perfect way to enjoy your time in the park. Make sure you have everything you need when packing your picnic. A bottle opener (luckily Barrymore Pinot Grigio is twist off!), cheese knives, napkins, plates, and wine glasses are a must have! I love these Kate Spade ‘His’ and ‘Hers” wine glasses that were given to us as an engagement gift!
