It has been a jam packed summer so far!
Special thanks to Bed Bath & Beyond for sponsoring this post.
From a fun travels to Italy and Montana, to a day trip in San Fransisco and enjoying the gorgeous weather in Denver, this summer has been fun-filled! With summer still in full swing, I have had so much fun hosting little wine parties, barbecues by the lake, dinner parties on our patio and so much more! Summer is my favorite time of year for hostessing. I love that everything gets brought outside to enjoy the gorgeous weather! In our current living situation we do not have a backyard so I have to make do with the outdoor space we do have, or in this case, host parties at friends houses! In this backyard setting, my best friend Gus has been working on making it the perfect little space for outdoor entertaining. He unfortunately does not have a patio table, but that didn’t stop me from hosting a sweet little setting in a backyard with Bed Bath & Beyond.
My favorite way to entertain in the summer is with a picnic! Whether in the park or in your backyard, there is something nostalgic about sitting out in the grass with good company and a gorgeous spread! Since Gus does not own a patio table, this setting was so much fun to create using a coffee table and cushions on the ground! Bed Bath & Beyond has the perfect selection of summer entertaining staples! They offer all the essentials needed to host outdoors, like melamine plates, fun serveware, table linens and decor, BBQ tools and more!
I absolutely love the bright color pallet of this setting! It’s perfect for summer and has such a happy feel to the set up. These Kate Spade Harbour Drive Napkins and Candy Shop table runner were the perfect addition. A good rule of thumb when outdoor entertaining, especially when it is a “picnic” is to use plastic plate and cups. These Flamingo Stemware wine glasses are so much fun for any summer party!
Since this party is primarily on the ground, set up a small bar area nearby with a plastic bucket filled with ice, drinks (and rosé of course!) and plenty of water with lemon on a table to keep your guests from getting dehydrated on a warm day!
